Normally found in the proximity of water, could by fresh water, brackish and saltwater. |

Usually seen alone. |
REPRODUCTION: |
At least in some places nesting is done in small colonies, otherwise solitary. The nest is done in trees and bushes near water. The usual clutch is three light greenish blue eggs. |
DESCRIPTION: |
In length it reaches from 36 to 48 cm. The bill measures from 7 to 9 cm. The weight is from 155 to 205 grams. |
