The Subspecies of the Ostrich (Struthio camelus)

According to some authors there are still in Africa five subspecies of the Ostrich (Struthio camelus). Some authors only recognize four of them.


In Arabia there was another subspecies, but it is estimated that between 1940 and 1970 it was extinguished.
